ABOUT US
The invisible final audit for drawing integrity.
markedup.ai helps GCs and architects catch drawing inconsistencies before they become rework, delays, and claims — without asking teams to move drawings into a new system.
What GCs see first
Gordon Highlander — close the $100K window before issue.
Gordon Highlander uses markedup.ai to cross-check door tags against the schedule before issue. Closing that mismatch closes a $100K overorder exposure window while the set can still be corrected — before a field team has to work around the gap.
MidHudson CM — catch the discrepancy before the $54K change order.
MidHudson CM uses markedup.ai as a final drawing audit for preconstruction. A discrepancy was caught before it reached the field and became a $54K change order.
A final drawing audit is not a new review destination. It is proof of what broke in the set, returned early enough for the GC team to act.
Industry context
Industry rework estimate: over $64 billion annually in the US (FMI/Autodesk, 2023). A large share of that waste traces to uncoordinated drawings — the problem markedup.ai is built to catch earlier.
The origin of markedup.ai
The idea for markedup.ai did not start in a boardroom; it started with a single, painful error. In 2023, my brother-in-law, Harry, was completing his engineering cadetship when he missed a critical detail while using the same manual review process I had used back in 2008. More than a decade of software progress had not changed the basic reality: precon teams were still relying on highlighters, cross-references, and human fatigue to protect construction margins.
I built markedup.ai to automate the grueling consistency checks that people should not have to perform sheet by sheet. ConstructionProof is the simple drag-and-drop path; folder listening is the automatic path. Both return findings to the tools teams already use.
For the teams that issue and receive sets
GCs, architects, VDC teams, and owners see the same drawing risks from different sides of the handoff. markedup.ai gives each team a final, scoped audit of the relationships that matter: sheet index ↔ sheet #, callout ↔ detail, door ↔ schedule ↔ plan, keynote ↔ legend, and MEP equipment or panels ↔ plan.
Built for AEC by AEC pros
We didn't build this from Silicon Valley. We built it from job sites, hard hats, and real field experience. Designed by construction veterans who know the work firsthand, Marked Up is purpose-built for the people who actually build the world.
To our customers and partners
Thank you for trusting us with the work that protects your set before it reaches bid, issue, or the field. We are building the audit layer that gives teams proof of what broke early enough to matter.
